Ben Cruickshank

Ben Cruickshank / 17U Elite Head Coach

Coach Ben Cruickshank is in his first year with UBC as the 17U Elite Head Coach. A native of Nebraska, Coach Cruickshank has held several college coaching positions. He is currently entering his third season as an assistant coach at Snow College.

Prior to coaching, Cruickshank played two seasons at Southeast Community College, where he helped lead the team to the 2008 NJCAA National Tournament. Following his time at SCC, he transferred to the NCAA D-II University of Mary in the Northern Sun Conference, where he played his final two seasons. 

In his first two seasons coaching at Snow College, Coach Cruickshank has helped lead the men’s team to a 40-26 record, including at 26-7 easson that culminated in a 2019 SWAC Championship and a 2019 Region 18 Championship. 

Before arriving at Snow, Coach Cruickshank spent one year at Doane College where he aided in leading the team to a 21-win season. After his time at Doane, Coach Cruickshank spent three years coaching at Peru State College. During his time at Peru State College, the team won 56 percent of their games, including a 22-11 season resulting in a conference championship and a trip to the 2016 NAIA Division-I National Tournament. 

Cruickshank earned his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Doane College in 2014 and his master degree in Organization Management from Peru State College in 2018.
