Khalil Sikander / Player Development & Team Coach

This is Coach Khalil Sikander’s 6th year with UBC.  Coach Sikander was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where he was an All-City Basketball player in High School.  It help lead him to the west to play basketball for Colorado Northwestern Community College and then finished his career at Southern Utah University.

Coach Sikander career has taken him to multiple high school programs where he has had a lot of success. As a women’s head coach of Lehi High in Lehi, Utah he turned a program around to win a region title and make a quarter-final and semi-final appearance in his 4 years. He then turned to boys in which he helped Westlake High School of Saratoga Springs, Utah to its first 2 play-off appearances in school history.  He also worked at Pleasant Grove and Mountain View High Schools in Utah in which they made quarter-final appearances in the state-playoffs while there.

He then returned to being a women’s head coach of Skyridge High School in Lehi, Utah.  He started a brand new program and turned it into one of the top programs in the state.  They were able to win back to back region titles in 3 years, and made it to the quarterfinals and semi-finals respectively. He was voted region head coach of the year 3x in his career.

Coach Sikander is a well-respected coach for both Boys and Girls basketball in the State of Utah.  He has coached many college athletes that range from D1 to the Juco level during his time in both girls and boys High school programs as well as with UBC.   Coach Sikander loves player development and has coached and trained players that are currently playing in Australia, France and Israel.

Coach Sikander is also involved in an up and coming women’s program in Storm Basketball out of Las Vegas.  He is well loved as a coach and has high expectations for his players whether boys or girls.  He is highly skilled in skill development and loves building leaders through the game of basketball.

Coach Sikander is married and has 4 children.  Coach Sikander currently teaches at Orem Junior High and has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master Degree in Education with an Administrative License
