Landon Cosby / 15U Elite Head Coach

Coach Landon Cosby is the 15U Elite Head Coach for UBC. He is currently Head Coach of the Academic All State 6A team at Weber High School, where he just finished his first season.

A native of Ogden, Utah, Coach Cosby has held several college coaching positions in his decade-long coaching career. Most recently, Coach Cosby served as Assistant Coach at Westminster College where he helped the team transition from NAIA to NCAA Division 2. During his time at Westminster, his team won two Brechler awards for having the highest Men’s Basketball GPA in the entire RMAC for the school year.

Before his time at Westminster, Coach Crosby was Assistant Coach at Eastern Oregon University where he worked closely with post players, including EOU’s all-time leading shot blocker & CCC Defensive Player of the Year, Kalvin Johanson.

In 2014, Coach Cosby earned a spot as the Director of Operations at Northern Arizona University. He helped the Lumberjacks to 23 wins – the most wins in program history. From 2011-14, Coach Cosby served as the assistant coach at Salt Lake Community College. Alongside head coach Todd Phillips, Coach Crosby  helped the Bruins to a 78-21 record in three seasons. In 2013 and 2014, the squad notched the regular season and conference tournament championships and reached the Round of 16 at the NJCAA National Tournament. 

Coach Cosby’s coaching career began in 2011, as he coached AAU for the Utah Pump N’ Run. From 2011-14, he helped numerous players successfully  transition to two- and four-year institutions. 

Cosby earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Weber State University, and he also served as a head student manager for the men’s basketball team during his college days. In his free time, he enjoys fishing throughout the western United States.
